Guns N' Roses perform live-streamed concert for their fans at the very reasonable price of $30 a ticket

We get no new album because GNR no longer have a singer that can sing.

Alex waited his whole life.

pushing against a reunion.

Then when it finally happens,

He loses his voice and can no longer sing.

:awesomedance:

Should have taken the 2006 offer.

Too late now,

You are the weakest link.

Maybe hes really bored with it and singing shit on purpose as a way to return to the 11-14 era, and is hoping muff and slash leave of their own accord.

We would have gotten a worse album than Chinese Democracy if they reunited in 2006. If you're a fan of just listening to live bootlegs of the band singing Sweet Child Of Mine 1000000 times, then sure it would have been great since 2006 Axl was exceptional.

Look at the output of Slash and Duff at that time. The only thing that might have saved it would be Izzy's involvement, or if they ironically decided to become a NU-GNR cover band by taking advantage of the songs Buckethead wrote for them.

Imagine Libertad with Axl vocals, and This I Love. Maybe add in Better since it had single potential, and that's probably comparable to the album we get. if they reunite in 2006. Chinese Democracy never comes out, which I guess some people might celebrate, but it was much better than Libertad.

If anything, the reunion is the worst timeline. The novelty of seeing Axl and Slash together was surreal at first, but it wore off quickly. The demand for poor live shows is so great, that there is no need to do anything interesting. Axl can Mickey himself all the way to the bank. Who knows, maybe there were enough Tuesdays between 2014 and the start of the "regrouping", where the Chinese Democracy follow up might have actually come out.

They haven't been able to tour for over a year, and we still don't seem to be any closer to an album being finished. Even if they didn't want to release it during COVID, you would think that now would be the optimal time to work on it and get a finished product since they can't make money touring the opportunity cost of stopping things to finish an album would be much lower than it would have been pre-covid.

Velvet Revolver would have been the perfect springboard to a Guns N Roses reunion while they were still young enough to make a decent record.

Slosh n Doof were already on the big stage, it would have been huge if they just dropped that and said VR is done GNR Reunion Now!

And  I dont think Libertad would have been the album.

That was just disconnect between Scott and the band.

The failed GNR Reunion of 2006 had destroyed VR the year before, when Scott reacted by scheduling an STP reunion, to follow VR's album cycle, that was dead on arrival.

Axl is directly responsible for destroying VR by putting out the Slash story in 2006.

He should have answered the door,

 made Slash some coffee,

sit down and talk, etc
