TMZ have picked up the story about tonight

Guns N' Roses are about to rock the City of Angels with an impromptu concert ... and cops are assembling on the Sunset Strip for the mad dash to get a seat.
Law enforcement tells us they have a ton of Sheriff's deputies setting up around the old Tower Records ... in anticipation of the GNR announcement at 10 AM.
We're told there will be 250 tickets given away at noon for the concert -- first come, first serve.
Cops are expecting hundreds of fans to descend upon Tower Records when the announcement is made. It's still unknown when and where the actual performance will go down.

The location of the old Tower Records on the Sunset Strip in California will be the site of an announcement this morning of a special GUNS N' ROSES concert, to be held tonight (Friday, April 1), possibly at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. 250 tickets are expected to be given away at noon — on a first-come, first-served basis, apparently limited to one ticket per person — for the show, which will mark the first time singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash have performed together since 1993.

With the first official GUNS N' ROSES reunion concert scheduled for just a week from now, on April 8 in Las Vegas, the band has still not officially announced the lineup of musicians who will take the stage beyond Rose, Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. But a photo posted at the group's official Twitter account sent fans into a frenzy. The picture of Ahead brand drumsticks fueled speculation that original drummer Steven Adler was returning to the group, especially after past and present GUNS drummers Matt Sorum and Frank Ferrer both denied they used the sticks.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, fans first approached Sorum on Twitter, with the one-time GUNS drummer confirming that he used Ahead sticks from 1991 to 1993 but did not currently use them.

Ferrer also responded to the image, saying the Ahead ones weren't his and that he used Vater sticks.

That left Adler, who has remained silent about the GUNS reunion since it was announced and also did not comment on the photo of the sticks. Adler, like Sorum, has used Ahead sticks in the past but not recently.

Recent reports have suggested that Ferrer, who has been in the GUNS lineup since 2006, will play the bulk of the show at the band's upcoming dates, although Adler could appear as a special guest.

GUNS N' ROSES has six shows scheduled in April: two in Las Vegas, two in Mexico City and two at the Coachella Music And Arts Festival in Indio, California. The band has also announced the cities for a 21-show North American tour, although dates and venues have yet to be confirmed.

This is just cool. Whoever is being negative about it is just doing it for the sake of being negative. Maybe I'm not just that passionate about GNR anymore so I don't pay much attention to all the details and motivations anymore... as a casual fan, I consider what's happening to be cool as fuck.
