  1. What I criticized from the get go was the lunacy in comparing record sales from something that came out in 1993 vs. 2008 because no one, not Metallica, not AC/DC, sell as much as they did in 1993 before the dawn of the internet and P2P file-sharing, and so and so forth. You simply cannot compare records from such widely different eras as you did with TSI and CD. It is an apples and oranges comparison and it is ridiculous. Ali Right so compare CD to the bands that were huge in the 90s, which would be AC DC and Metallica both sold over 3 or 4m albums of their last album. Compare that to Gnr who only sold 650k of CD, that is called what? A failure, so using your logic, its still a failure. Is that really the best you got? Guns n roses, Metalica and AC DC were the biggest bands of the 90s and two of them sold over 3 or 4m in the US alone, yet Gnr could not even hit the million mark. How is that a success? Dave, for someone who accuses others so often of having issues with reading comprehension, you sure have a problem with that, too. I never, ever said CD was a some big success. All I said was that it is asinine to compare sales from albums in the early 90's to albums that came out in 2008. Two different eras, two different industry landscapes. Er go, it is an apples and oranges comparison for an album that came out in '93 vs. one that came out '08. Ali You really are a piece of work, if you are trying to debate with people that are saying CD was a flop and not saying you agree it was a flop, then it is inferred that you think it was a success. If you agree with us that it was a flop, then agree it was a flop and be done with it, You have been debating with us for days now and opposing the people that claim it was a flop. You should be fighting your straw-men battles with yourself in private messages - since apparently you are not capable of civil conversation. Oh, and your idea of a debate is rather demented.
  2. Apparently you can't fucking read.
  3. Do you actually get him as THAT much of a child? I mean come on. We all know the gingerhaired one has his issues but you are making him out as a completely spoiled preteen brat over there. I did laugh rather hard though, which is rather painful for me now due to a pair of stoopid injuries I'm carrying ...
  4. This band is not guns n roses and this current line up is not big. There are tons of bands bigger, this current line up has not toured the US since 2006 because they know the tour will flop just like the album did. CD didnt even sell 1m albums in the US, and even the tour in 2006 didnt even sell out. MSG was only 3/4 full and worcester (boston) was just half full and those two places always sell out. Please give me tons of bands that can do sales like that post 2008. Most popular bands sell over 1m albums in the US, and if this band was the real guns n roses with slash, izzy, duff and Axl, and they wrote a real GNr album, you really dont think it would sell more than CD did?? Stop drinking the Jarmo coolade. So you're basically a clueless little shit twat fuckface, who can't even afford the decency of backing up your own weakass shit arguments. Pathetic. You and your most popular bands crap? its the kind of trash the garbagetruck was born to take out. If you want to keep on with your crybaby whines - let's see a list of your "popular bands" and the amounts they've sold compared to CD in a similar timeframe and see, how many of them really are out there. You're argument still reads "tons". We will go off easy on you since youre such a baby and all, and lets see a list of 200 for starters. You are the clueless one who thinks by using your big mouth you will think you are right. No other band took over 10 years to make an album and pour over 16m into it. So Axl selling under $1m copies in the US and just about 5-6m world wide for an albulm that took 10 years and cost over 16m is a huge flop. I am sorry if you cannot use common sense on this. Any band that sold less or more than CD is still more sucessful since those albums didnt cost $16m to make and didnt take 10 years to make. I am sorry if you cannot handle reality but CD is a huge flop based on cost, number of years it took to release and Gnr past album sales. I'm not a big fan of CD myself, but I'm also no stranger to the realities of this dying thing we know as the music business. Axl and his album was a clusterfuck nightmare for the record company and yes, a failure taking all things into considering, but you are the one who tries to make selling 1M albums seem like an easy little thing to do that thousands of bands are capable of. You should think again, since you are dead wrong in that. Take the last few paragraphs from your frothing-at-the-mouth bitchery and really look at what you were able to communicate there. Calm down a little bit and try to concieve a more rational train of thought - you make a complete fool of yourself there. Maybe it's due to the fact that you got me figured out completely wrong. I am not an Axl-defending 'nu-GNRite' at all. Actual success of an album, from the point of view of the record companies, doesn't boil down to years+money spent vs. records sold, by the way. There are more factors to be weighed in if you have backcatalogues of music or brand-franchises to think of. But you are of course right that chinese democracy is completely outrageous if you beam in on years+money spent. If someone wrote a book of fiction that had the chinese democracy making of storyline in it - it would be ridiculed and criticized for being too unbelievable.

  7. I would have liked to read the stuff MSL had. Would have loved to have a peek at how Axl communicates inside the infamous "inner circle." Bands and plans are delicate things. The thing of it is, GNR is a lot bigger than most of them. They can be torn down in the media, spat upon, and still rake in money in the millions while touring. The albums, they keep on selling. Now they have a crew of capable hired hands who aren't dependent on the band as per normal; if Axl goes into hiding the hired guns are capable of employing themselves. If there is a wish to make moves, moves will be made, silly old and cold e-mail messages can't destabilize anything. Only thing that is actually delicate in this case is Axl's mood and sanity. If he feels violated by this crap and wants to take it out on the fans with three years of silence, then that is exactly what he is going to do. But is that actually the fault of MSL, the memorystick or the GNR forums? no. It's him.
  8. You shouldnt worry about Axl making plans, however, when it comes to execution. Offer the gingerhaired one some assistance, if possible.
  9. Whatever it is that the Lebeis gang/management/axl/lawyers do to shut people up in the internet, I got to say, seems pretty damn powerful and convincing. They turned a bunch of forums into orwellian thought policed nests of boredom, now they've shut up the loudmouthed fat wrestler guy. Impressive, I have to admit. It's sad because this is probably the most interesting anything GNR related will go in 2011.
  10. so apparently, the memorystickgate 2011 is over now. mister saint laurent is deleting the threads from his own board. the stick has been given back and the contents were not leaked. boring.
  11. The GarbageTruck is rolling into town to take out the trash, and boy, these questions are it. The trash.
  12. Don't worry about me, I'm alright upstairs. I just sort of jump in and overactivate every time something happens in GNR-land that makes the whole sycophant-yesmen-gang look idiotic and like they've screwed up or something. and this time it feels like the motherload of them all is fast upon us. If we could just somehow make them documents leak faster.
  13. nah, I rather enjoyed telling you to fuck off. Ill elaborate a bit further : go to goteborg and fuck off there.
  14. Yeah. We are not. What a sad state of affairs it has become, on that board. no more freedom of speech. Kind of hoping that more people start migrating here for censorship free chats and stuff about GNR. What I hate the most about mygnrforum.com vs axl/msl memorystick gate 2011? The fact that the dumbshits who love to show off their moderator status, estranged reality, zint61 and montrealer, they are trying to portray the thing in a way, where the reason why its all getting locked down is because its all about MSL and nothing about GNR. If you look into what people are actually saying its mostly about GNR and just a few asskissers begging for all threads to be locked, because they want to feel good about themselves when the lock actually comes. In reality, highvoltage already alluded to the real reasons why the threads are getting locked: 'some people' behind the curtain are either a) calling the shots or are angry enough in private messages so that the threads are getting locked for their appeasement. Its rather fucked up. fuck that place, seriously. It's just an internet forum, stop caring so much. fuck you too.
  15. Alright, I'll chip in with this summation: At some point in the late nineties, Slash's Snakepit unwinds and the tophatted-one is left there, basically sitting on his ass in Hollywood or wherever it was that he was laying his head at that point. He is wasting away in a hangover, by himself, and just sort of stops and reflects back on what he used to be, what the snakepit never amounted to. He calls up whoever it is that is his link to the thinking part of music business, and angrily tells this guy, a manager or whatever, to send a lawyer down his way, that he needs to talk to a lawyer and then hangs up. Regretting what had gone down some years earlier, Slash, out of spite, talks to this lawyer guy and basically, the lawyer who smells the potential money to be made, the proverbial blood in the water, feeds Slash all kinds of legal mumbo jumbo. Together they figure out that they can fuck this Axl guy over in court, or atleast if they cant win the fight, they can make the scope of the fight so all-encompassing, so ultimate that Axl will not be able to make any moves with the name GNR, nothing at all, until several years of courtside battles, motions, pleas, retrials and the like. "If I can't be in GNR, neither can you, balding motherfucker" Slash thinks to himself. Some months later, a lawyer team recieving healthy paychecks from a very-flush-at-the-time Bill Bailey, or Axl as we know him, has some bad news for the reclusive master himself. Slash, former brother-in-arms, is coming back at Him, and with a deadly vengeance. To bolster up his case, he has dragged Duff, the jolly rock bassist guy, to join with him. "Damn that Duff, always so easy to persuade into anything." Axl mutters under his breath. In discrete, well thought out words, the lawyers basically lay out a very grim future at the feet of the redhaired-one: You have a shot at winning this case, but it appears that it might take quite a few years until you can make any moves with the GNR name. These guys are serious and they are out to get you. If you move with GNR, they will most likely win. You can't talk about any of it either. Your options are to either fold, try to reconcile with these guys, maybe paying them off could work, or you can fight it. We do warn you, theres no guarantee of a win, here, but there is a chance... In his mind, he swears to buy the magical services of sorcerers and voodoo-priests to get this mulatto-in-a-tophat guy and put him back in his place, he swears that this Slash dude will die in a fire and his whole family will be taken with cancer. But that he will never surrender the GNR name. or at the very least, never to this fucking guy..
